History

In 1992, Michel Courchesne, founder of Mots pour Maux, opened a translation firm in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. After obtaining his Master's Degree in French Literature, he offered his services as a freelance translator and writer. Over the years, various businesses and organizations in Ontario came to rely on his quality work.

As his client relationships prospered, Michel came to recognize the advantage of building an in-house team of skilled professionals. Soon after hiring his first qualified translator, it became obvious that clients preferred the assurance that an in-house staff of professionals could provide, namely quality translation, consistency, and availability each and every time.

Mots pour Maux presently maintains an in-house complement of four qualified translators as well as a terminologist and an administrative clerk. The company has gained valuable experience in the areas of website translation, book and magazine proofreading technical documents, and project management.
