Client Solutions

Our Methodology

We follow a methodology that ensures accuracy and quality, each and every time.

Our strength: team work! Our team believes in client care and communication. With an internal focus on team work and a quality process in place, Mots pour Maux provides you with a product you can trust!

Client requests are reviewed initially to determine how the job can be completed efficiently. We consider the technical level of the document, the field of knowledge it encompasses, the number of words, and your deadline requirements. At Mots pour Maux, we believe that our ability to bring each project to successful fruition is a vital part of building a long-term relationship with you. That is why we will not accept a project unless we know we will complete it on time and that it falls within our areas of expertise. In some cases, we will suggest an alternative solution.

Once your project has been accepted, you will not be left wondering what priority level it may have been assigned. You will not wonder whether your document is near completion or not. Mots pour Maux prioritizes each project in a cycle that ensures completion without delays. We can keep you updated as to the status of your project and promptly notify you upon its completion.

Intake
When a project is accepted, our administrative clerk will manage the workflow of that document using a computerized coding system. We can track the records of reception, completion, and final delivery of the project to the client.

Research
The terminologist consults her references to determine which sources may be helpful for the translators. Mots pour Maux utilizes a software database called MultiTrans to build customized vocabulary databases for each client. MultiTrans ensures accuracy and consistency of terms for each client. The terminologist continues to support the translator and the revisor by researching pertinent information throughout the project's term.

Translation
The primary translator assigned to your project will refer to these sources to become familiar with the subject matter and uses MultiTrans, a terminology/equivalency database which extracts texts from previously-translated documents. Our regular clients benefit from a customized database groomed specifically for their needs, including their preferred choices in vocabulary.

Revision
A secondary translator reviews both the English and French versions of the document in order to compare the original text to the translated text. This staff-member checks for accuracy in translation, and verifies that nothing has been omitted. Consultation with the key translator and terminologist takes place throughout the process.

Proofreading
At this point in the cycle, the French version is read to ensure that the text flows smoothly and that it does not "read" like a translation. No bones may show! It must be fully-fleshed.

Delivery
Once the team is satisfied that the final product is of the utmost quality, they indicate that the project is completed by notifying the administrative clerk who then sends the product to our client. Most documents are delivered electronically in the format of the client's choice. Of course, we are always available if the client has any questions or comments, etc.
